Syria Saya Maps

Saya is a striped cotton fabric handwoven by Syrian artisans. This striped design is essential to traditional Syrian attire. It comes in all colors and is often made into belts, dresses, vests, and furniture.

These Syrian maps are emboldened with the classic Saya print, emphasizing the significance of these stripes across Syria.

The colors represent the relationship between Syrians of Hama, Noria's hometown, and their land. The brown represents the Norias, which irrigate the land, represented by green, with water from the blue Orontes river, to grow the crop - red like fresh pistachios.
