Who is Hadoodle?

My name is Hadeel and sometimes I doodle, you can call me Hadoodle.
Hello! I am Hadoodle, a proud Syrian from the beautiful city of Hama. Despite being born and raised in the diaspora, I love my people and my culture more than anything.
I've always been an artist - drawing and painting since my youth. During high school, I began training under 2D artists who specialized in photo realism. I became skilled in renaissance art, drawing and painting realistic imagery of people, places and objects. While I enjoyed this European art form, I never felt connected to it.
During college, I explored forms of art that are closer to my Syrian roots. I became enamored with Arabic calligraphy and took lessons with a professional calligrapher.
For the first time, I felt a deep cultural connection with my art. What an amazing feeling, to feel my ancestors reaching through me and moving my hand across the page.
Since then, my Syrian heritage has become a crucial aspect of my art. I created Noria to shine a spotlight on Syrians and our art. We are a people of deep creativity, creating art in so many forms. Syrian artists specialize in architecture, fragrances, fabrics, mosaics, and of course, calligraphy.
